Paddas, private family estate, concept design (plan a). Unit 1 · Workspace + Den: A two-storey work and play building. The ground floor holds four enclosed car bays with EV charging and a bike bay for two motorcycles, a gym with a boxing corner, a shower and a gear airlock. From the lobby and the gym, tall vertical glass slots in the wall look straight into the garage, so the cars are always on show. A curved stair rises from the entrance lobby to the floor above: a large multi-screen office looking over the forecourt, a living room with a daybed, a coffee kitchenette, a utility room and a sauna and steam spa. Outside, a charcoal frame wraps the upper floor: a deep roof cantilever with a timber soffit over the forecourt, a glass-railed balcony along the office, a stone-framed screen of timber fins over the living room, and a bronze italic serif K on a stone panel facing the gate. Access is by keycard only: the front door from the link path has a card reader and stays locked; the garage doors open by remote. Units 2 & 4 · Family Residence: One two-storey home for two households. The parents live step-free on the ground floor with a verandah onto the big backyard. Unit 2 is the whole floor above, with its own front door from the parking court, a timber spiral stair and a glass lift that both floors use and that carry on to the roof garden. Unit 2 has two balconies: one off the primary bedroom over the backyard, and a front balcony over its entrance that wraps the corner towards the gate. Unit 3 · Personal Unit 2: A two-storey home. The ground floor has two bedrooms, a family kitchen with a pantry wall, a Laddu Gopal room for Laddu Gopal, Radha, Pari and the little Laddus, and a pet mudroom that opens straight into the dog garden. Upstairs is a whole floor for the eight dogs: a sleeping dormitory, an indoor play hall, their own kitchen and laundry, and a caretaker room with a small bed. A timber spiral stair and a glass lift rise from the mudroom to the dog floor and the roof, an organic kitchen garden with a sitting lawn. Two balconies open off the play hall: one over the backyard, one wrapping the corner over the dogs' lawn. Central Family Hub: The shared heart of the estate. Grand doors on the gate axis open into a marble main hall for ten, with a meeting table for discussions. Beyond the gallery are a 14-seat dining room, the family lounge, a library and the main kitchen. Below is the guest level: two guest suites on a sunken garden court, a private theatre for twelve and the ration store. A timber spiral stair and a panoramic glass lift join it to the hall and to the pool terrace on the roof, where two small balconies in the stone frame look down the drive to the gate. Staff + Service Block: Four modest, daylit staff rooms facing south, two washrooms, an indoor laundry and a cleaning and maintenance store, with its own side service entrance. Ceiling fans in every room; the flat roof is an open terrace edged with flower pots, used for drying clothes and anything else, reached by a steel stair from the service yard.
